Pakistan’s bowlers didn’t play poorly in the match. With the score 3-1 in the fourth over, Waqar Younis (38) was the first player to reach 150 for an innings against India. After being bowled to an outside edge and a quick reverse-cricket delivery, he struck four overs to reach his maiden century, and his fourth fifty-plus of the series.

Pakistan’s batsman Souhail Khan (24) made an imposing impression as he became the first player in eight Tests to score 50, 100 and 150. He was also a solid partner for Waqar, and was the fifth-highest wicket-taker of the tournament, making 50 all through the tournament. His contribution was also helped by his partnership with Souhail.
